Markarian's Chain of galaxies in Virgo 65 million LY

Situated in a densely populated region of the Virgo Cluster of galaxies the chain is

approximately 65 million light years from our galaxy. Virgo A (M87) is in the lower left.
A very large proportion of the bright spots in this image are not stars but rather galaxies.
